The west end of Montreal was rocking on Sunday when over 40 bands came together to help raise money for the Red Cross' relief efforts in post earthquake and tsunami Japan.
Three great venues hosted the shows, Clyde's, La Kachette and Smoke Meat Pete's. A massive undertaking and put together in just over a few weeks, the organizers were happy with the turnout.
Red Cross volunteers were on hand to collect donations, some artists even played at multiple venues all day long. The shows started simultaneously at all three venues at 1:00pm and ended around 10:00pm.
On the photography side of things, I'm beat. I did 2 of the events, with a photographer friend Didier Kaade taking care of the third. I wanted to spend more time shooting and less time driving.
The venues were a mix of conditions. From the cave like Clyde's, with it's wide stage and funky multicoloured lights wreaking havoc on my exposure to the more tighter stage but naturally light La Kachette. It was a lens changing, memory card swapping, video shooting, beer drinking great time!
Here are some shots from Clyde's
And a few from La Kachette
